Elliot was admitted to the New Zealand bar in 2006. Prior to forming Goldman Legal, Elliot was an Associate at a large Queenstown law firm where he worked for seven years and gained experience at a litigation practice in New Orleans, USA.
Elliot has extensive experience acting for local and international individuals and entities across a broad range of matters in the Property Law, Business Law, Trust and Company structuring and Immigration law fields. Elliot has significant transactional experience including the sale and purchase of Hotel developments, Fruit Orchards, Vineyards and the structuring and sell down of Residential Subdivisions. He is a trusted Lawyer to many private clients and commercial entities in relation to Trust Establishment, Estate Planning, Residential Property Purchases and Sales, Business Purchases and Sales, Franchising, Trade Marking and all aspects of Leasing.
He enjoys the opportunities Queenstown offers as an international community and has successfully obtained numerous consents from the New Zealand Overseas Investment Office (OIO) for the purchase of land by overseas persons and entities. He undertakes regular business trips to Asia in his capacity as an adviser to overseas resident clients with investments in NZ and to New Zealand clients conducting business in Asia.
Elliot has extensive experience in all facets of our country’s Immigration process, including Temporary Work Visas, Investor Visas, Business Visas, Skilled Migrant Residency Applications, and has specific experience in advising employers recruiting overseas workers.
The development of the New Zealand and particularly Central Otago wine industry has led to Elliot’s expertise in the acquisition and establishment of wineries and vineyards and grape supply and distribution agreements. He has also handled numerous trademark applications for vineyards, tourism ventures, fashion designers and private companies.
Elliot lives with his wife Bridget, a budding naturopath, whom he met when both worked as professional ski instructors. He embraces an active lifestyle and makes the most of the world class opportunities for golf, hiking and mountain biking that exist in his town. Elliot is also a keen ice hockey player and has had a long association with the local Ice Arena and Ice Hockey Clubs.

Cassie joined Goldman Legal as a Legal Executive in 2014. After gaining her LLB (Hons) Law Degree at Plymouth University in the United Kingdom she has gained legal experience in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and more recently New Zealand. Cassie’s main area of work at Goldman Legal includes rural, residential and commercial property conveyancing transactions, refinancing, company formation, trust and estate planning and other associated matters. Cassie has recently completed the New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive Diploma.
Since re-locating to Queenstown from the UK in 2002, Cassie has been immersed in the Queenstown lifestyle. She enjoys running, gardening and also camping and skiing with her husband and two children.
Eleanor (Ellie) is a Legal Executive at Goldman Legal. Her areas of expertise include property conveyancing transactions, refinancing, company formation, trust and estate planning and other associated matters. She is an integral part of Goldman Legal.
Since moving to New Zealand from the United Kingdom in 2008, Ellie has had extensive experience in customer service and managerial roles. Ellie has recently completed the New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive Diploma. She won the prize for the top graduating student in the 2016 examinations.
Ellie loves to hike and to explore the wilderness around Queenstown, the district, and beyond.
Agnesa (Agi) joined the Goldman Legal team in 2017 as a Receptionist. She has since established her role to support Goldman Legal’s team of legal professionals. Agi also assists with administering Goldman Legal’s Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (“AML”) obligations.
Agi is originally from Slovakia, where she graduated from the University of Economics, Bratislava with Master of Business in Tourism Management. After graduation, Agi worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for several years, both in Europe and New Zealand, and became an award winning employee within Australasia for one of the world leading hotel chains. Since joining Goldman Legal, Agi ‘s legal experience has grown rapidly and she is now a vital team member.
Outside of work, Agi enjoys tramping, camping, gardening and walking her dog.
Bridget is Goldman Legal’s Office Manager. She has responsibility for the development and implementation of business development initiatives, client database management, accounts, payroll, HR and guiding the firm through the day to day management requirements.
Bridget brings a friendly and practical approach to the day to day management of the firm to ensure that staff excel at what do and ultimately that Clients receive the best possible service.
Bridget has been with Goldman Legal since its establishment in early 2012. Prior to joining Goldman Legal, Bridget was an Environmental Scientist working in the public and private sector. She has been involved in environmental investigations, resource consenting work and has also been involved in several large scale contaminated land projects throughout New Zealand.
After growing up in South Auckland, Bridget excelled in the ski industry becoming a fully qualified international ski instructor. She has worked for a world class ski resort in the USA for several winter seasons before moving to Queenstown in 2005. In between the winters, Bridget obtained her Masters of Science degree. She has a particular passion for health and wellbeing and loves to ski, run, ride, swim, walk, bake raw whole food treats, and experiment with plant based meals in the kitchen.
